Dr. Saleh Al-Mizil, MU rector, launched the first session of the scientific council for the current academic year by a welcoming speech to the chairman and members.

The session was then chaired by the vice-rector for graduate studies and scientific research, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih by discussing multiple themes related to promotion and sabbatical leaves as well as reviewing some of the executive rules of promotion and excellence award for faculty members.

Dr. Al-Rumaih pointed out that all incoming requests to the scientific board should be completed effectively to achieve the university’s strategic plan and goals.

The council was concluded by issuing a number of decisions related to promotion and sabbatical leaves.
