The Employment and Alumni Affairs Center at MU signed agreements with several companies in the private sector to prepare graduates for the market. A ceremony was held for this occasion and was attended by the rector, Prof. Al-Mizil, the vice-rector for educational affairs, Dr. Al-Obudi, and representatives of the companies.

In a speech delivered by the supervisor of the Center, Dr. Saleh bin Mayouf, pointed out that the center strives, since it was founded, to form partnership with public and private sectors in the local community to train graduates for the labor market.

Over 112 graduates were employed, and in cooperation with Coca Cola and Sudair Pharma Company, more than 40 graduates have joined Tamheer Program, added Dr. Al-Mayouf, who also said that the partnerships signed at this ceremony will open up further opportunities for students to be employed in short time.  

The Center has cooperated with some colleges to offer training courses for students to obtain professional certificates demanded by the market in different fields such as management, finance, accounting, security and safety, information technology, engineering.

Several initiatives were also set out by the Center in alignment with the Crown Prince’s directives. One of these initiatives aimed to raise students’ awareness about the changes in market and necessity of having a CV since day one at the university.

The vice-rector, Prof. Al-Obudi represented the university in the signing with the companies and they are: Baja Food Industries, SAAK International, Soyab Plastic Factory, Gulf Integrated Industries Company and Innovative Foods & Shawarmer company.
