CIFAL Saudi Successfully completes the Training Program “Expert in Implementing the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals”

CIFAL Saudi Center at Majmaah University recently completed an intensive five-day training program titled “Expert in Implementing the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals,” providing 25 hours of focused instruction. This program is part of the center’s ongoing efforts to empower national competencies and enhance the skills of university staff in sustainable development and its practical applications.

The program covered both theoretical and practical aspects of sustainable development. It provided an in-depth understanding of the core concepts, the multiple dimensions of sustainability, and the interconnections among the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations. It also addressed aligning the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals with the global SDGs, supported by practical examples of local application.

What distinguished this program was its unique training methodology, combining theoretical lectures with hands-on workshops and interactive sessions. These activities aimed to develop participants’ practical skills and enable them to transform academic knowledge into strategic action plans and implementable development initiatives. The program also emphasized methods for measuring the developmental impact of these initiatives to ensure effectiveness.

CIFAL Saudi Center emphasized that such training programs build strong partnerships across various sectors, playing a key role in integrating local developmental targets with the global sustainable development agenda.

The center further highlighted that this program serves as a comprehensive knowledge platform designed following the latest international best practices in sustainable development. It plays a significant role in supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, particularly in building national capabilities and enhancing leadership skills in development initiatives.
