ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT PARTICIPATES IN SAUDI ACCOUNTANTS FORUM IN RIYADH

The Accounting Club at MU joined the Saudi Accountants Forum (SAF) held in the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center. The objective of the forum is to consolidate the Kingdom's role in keeping up with the latest developments in the accounting and auditing profession and its commitment to harness it to enhance the economy and attract investment. It also aims to fully understand the role of the accounting and auditing profession in realizing Saudi Vision 2030.

SAF is considered to be the first of its kind in the Middle East in the field of accounting and auditing. The participants included 23 Saudi universities and a number of public sectors and commercial entities.
There will be 24 workshops presented by 22 specialists in several areas; a series of professional talks and conversations about the current and future prospects of accounting; and a space for accounting departments at Saudi universities, professional entities and public sector to present their services.
As a form of encouragement for accounting students, those who obtained VAT certificates and Accounting Associate certificates were honored
MU’s team in the forum was led by the Dean of College of Business Administration, Dr. Waleed Al-Bisher and included Mr. Jaber Al-Jaber, head of accounting department, Mr. Sulaiman Al-Hugail, supervisor of student affairs, Ms. Tamader Al-Bahlal, faculty at accounting department and accounting students.

The head of accounting department, Mr. Al-Jaber extended his thanks to the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants for its role in supporting the profession of accounting and auditing through forums that invite elite speakers, public sector and commercial entities to enrich the students’ experience and develop their skills in the field of accounting and auditing.
