Introductory Meeting for New Students Arranged by: Student Support Unit- Female Department Date: Tuesday 1/6/1483 AH. Location: College Auditorium Target audience: New Students The main goals: The introductory meeting aimed to help new students to:

1. Adapt to the university environment and maintain psychological and social security.

2. Have a positive impression of the university.

3. Overcome fear and bring a sense of reassurance.

4. Provide early experiences that can help them adapt faster.

5. Provide guidelines for the rules, regulations, and facilities of the university that help students adapt to the new environment.

6. Focus on the importance of counseling programs and services.

Under the auspices of the Deputy of Academic Affairs Dr. Lulu Al-Daweesh and the Deputy of Students Affairs Dr. Mona Al-Fawzan, an introductory meeting was held to the new students of the College of Education in Zulfi- female departments.

The meeting came to shed the light on the importance of the stage where students are shifting from one educational level to another and its psychological impact on their growth and experiences. The meeting included a speech delivered by Dr. Al-Fawzan in which she welcomed the new students and pointed out to the most important rules and regulations of the college as well as the most important units and their role in serving the students.

Dr. Azza Al-Maghrabi, coordinator of e-learning unit, gave a presentation on how to register and study e-courses. That was followed by a talk given by Ms. Amal Al-Otaibi, Coordinator of the Student Services Unit, explaining the role of the Registration and Admission Deanship in assisting the students during their academic years.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Dalia Abdulbaqi, coordinator of Student Support Unit, spoke about the functions of the student support unit and the services it provides. She also emphasized on the significant role of the Academic Counseling along with meeting deadlines of the academic calendar regarding all academic procedures.
