Department of Law conducts a course entitled “Jurisdiction rules according to the latest procedural amendments”

As part of the training plan of the Department of Law for the academic year 1442/1443, the department has conducted a virtual course entitled “Jurisdiction rules according to the latest procedural amendments”.

The course was presented by Dr. Fadi Shuaysha, a faculty member, and addressed the following themes:

  1. Most important procedural updates affecting the structure, formation and arrangement of public courts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  2. Conditions that must be met to accept the lawsuit (capacity, interest and procedural capacity).
  3. Procedures for filing a lawsuit (conventionally- electronically)
  4. State jurisdiction.
  5. The rules of the international jurisdiction of the Kingdom's courts.
  6. Rules of specific jurisdiction.
  7. Territorial (spatial) jurisdiction rules (origin and exceptions).
  8. Judicial applications.
