As part of the training plan of the Department of Law for the academic year 1442/1443, the department has conducted a virtual course entitled “Jurisdiction rules according to the latest procedural amendments”.
The course was presented by Dr. Fadi Shuaysha, a faculty member, and addressed the following themes:
- Most important procedural updates affecting the structure, formation and arrangement of public courts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Conditions that must be met to accept the lawsuit (capacity, interest and procedural capacity).
- Procedures for filing a lawsuit (conventionally- electronically)
- State jurisdiction.
- The rules of the international jurisdiction of the Kingdom's courts.
- Rules of specific jurisdiction.
- Territorial (spatial) jurisdiction rules (origin and exceptions).
- Judicial applications.
