A Workshop entitled “Medical Labs 2030” conducted by Community Services

The Director of King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah, Dr. Khalid Al-Ghatani, launched a workshop entitled “medical laboratories in view of 2030 Vision” in the presence of the Vice-Dean for Community Services, Dr. Adel Al-Turki, who represented the Dean of the Community College, Dr. Omar Al-Sharyofi, and the Vice-Dean for Quality, Dr. Abdel Aziz Al-Khathiri, who represented the Dan of Applied Medical Science, Dr. Mazen Al-Ghatani. Among the presence was also the Supervisor of Medical Education and Training at the College of Community Service, Dr. Raed Al-Bara’adi, along with faculty members and students.
At the outset, King Khalid Hospital Director, Dr. Al-Ghatani welcomed the audience and commended the importance of such events in line with the vision 2030 which contributes in improving quality standards and keeping abreast of state-of-the-art knowledge and training. The cooperation between the hospital and MU is highly appreciated.
Addressing the audience, the Supervisor of Medical Education and Training at the College of Community Service, Dr. Raed Al-Bara’adi, said based on the directive of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren and under the supervision of the Vice-Rector, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, to form partnerships with public sectors in line with the vision 2030, this workshop entitled “medical laboratories in view of 2030 Vision” was held as a collaboration between the College of Community Service, represented by Medical Education and Training Unit, and the Ministry of Health ,represented by King Khalid Hospital in Majmaah (Medical Lab Department).
The 2-day workshop, attended by faculty members of MU, is accredited by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, and focused on providing a hands-on and field training, in collaboration with faculty members.
This workshop is an opportunity for all those who are interested in the field of medical field, including experts and students, to exchange their knowledge on issues related to medical labs- an act that will eventually improve health care by combating epidemics and contagious diseases.
The aim of this workshop is to exchange experience in the field of early diagnose for a range of diseases along with preventive medicine.
Over the two days of the conference,18 different lectures will be presented by faculty members and consultants in addition to a workshop under the supervision of Dr. Bader Al-Shehir, Head of Medical Lab Department at the College of Applied Medical Science and Mr. Abdullah Al-Mutairi, Specialist at the Medical Lab Department.
