AWARDS CEREMONY HELD BY MU FOR WINNERS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE PRIZE- 3RD VERSION

Under the patronage of MU rector, and in the presence of vice-rector, Dr. Khalid al-Muqren, an awards ceremony was held by the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Education (DCSCE) for winners of the third version of Community Service Prize.

The ceremony was launched by a presentation delivered by the secretary of the prize and the dean of DCSCE, Dr. Omar al-Sharyofi, who talked about the changes made on the third version of the prize at many aspects. While applying was on paper for the first version of the prize, the second version changed to be 50% online and 100% by the third version.

At the evaluation level, a survey was conducted for citizens about the services provided by public, private and charitable sectors to those who participated in the contest. Dr. al-Sharyofi added that in the past, one evaluator was assigned for every category of the prize, however, in the third version, the number increased to be two and the average mark is considered.

Highlighting the achievements of the prize, Dr. al-Sharyofi pointed out that winners of the three versions of the prize were honored to be awarded by Riyadh Governor Prince Faisal al-Saud.

Addressing the audience, MU rector, Dr. al-Muqren, delivered a speech during which he was being grateful to the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and His Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the education sector, and MU in particular.

MU rector also commended the efforts expanded by the dean of the DCSCE and all staff who contributed to achieving one of the university’s goals: community service.

At the end of the ceremony, second and third position winners were awarded by MU rector. Winners of the first position were awarded by Riyadh Governor at an earlier time.
