The Sustainable Development Club launches an initiative called: "The Prevention Journey for Sustainability."

The Sustainable Development Club, in cooperation with the Engineering Club at the university, launched an initiative called “Prevention Journey for Sustainability” in several university colleges. These included the College of Engineering, the College of Business Administration, the College of Sharia and Law in Majmaah, the College of Science in Zulfi, the College of Nursing in Hawtat Sudair, the College of Sharia and Law in Ghat, and the Applied College in Remah.

The goal of the initiative was to raise awareness about the dangers of drugs and their harmful effects on society. It also aimed to show how drug abuse can get in the way of achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals — especially Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). The event included awareness booths, workshops, and lectures focusing on prevention and the importance of increasing awareness.

This initiative is part of the Deanship of Student Affairs’ efforts to support awareness programs and help create a safe university environment that raises student awareness about the importance of sustainability. It also supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
