The Student Counseling Center

The center is responsible for providing psychological, social, and behavioral support to students to enhance the quality of their life and ensure optimal academic achievement. The center helps students adapt to university life, overcome psychological and social challenges, and develop their personal and leadership skills to ensure a positive university experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the development of the center’s annual operational plan and ensuring its alignment with the university’s goals and student needs.

  • Monitoring the implementation of approved guidance and counseling plans and ensuring that defined objectives are met.

  • Supervising the center’s various units (Programs and Evaluation Department, Guidance and Counseling Department, Coordination and Follow-up Department) and ensuring integration of their roles.

  • Submitting operational plans and periodic reports to the Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Student Services.

  • Directing the center's teams to hold programs and activities according to the timeline.

  • Monitoring the documentation of all activities and student cases handled by the center and preparing comprehensive reports.

  • Coordinating with relevant entities inside and outside the university to provide integrated services for students.

  • Overseeing the preparation of surveys and opinion polls on student satisfaction with center services and analyzing the results for performance improvement.

  • Ensuring the application of quality standards in all counseling services and activities offered by the center.

  • Handling critical student cases that require direct intervention from the center’s management.

  • Following up on the implementation of recommendations and reports from higher administration and developing the center’s plans accordingly.

  • Supervising the preparation and publication of newsletters and periodicals related to counseling, in coordination with the Programs and Evaluation Department.

  • Managing regular team meetings to discuss performance, challenges, and propose development solutions.

  • Following up on complaints submitted by students and working to resolve them in coordination with relevant entities.

  • Preparing end-of-semester reports summarizing activities, programs, and cases addressed, and submitting them to the Vice Dean for Student Services.
