EID CONGRATULATIONS MEETING AND COMMEMORATION OF THE 85TH ANNIVERSARY

Under the sponsorship of Majmaah University Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin, the university held its annual Eid congratulations meeting, celebrating Al-Adha Eid and the anniversary of the 85th national day on Sunday 21/12/1436 H. at the main theater on campus. The annual meeting and greeting, attended by college deans, vice-deans, directors and several university employees, preceded the celebration, where the attendees congratulated one another on Al-Adha Eid then the commemoration of the 85th National Day commenced. The ceremony began with the Royal anthem, then a speech by the employees of the university on the occasion, which was delivered on behalf of them by Mr. Ahmed Al-Osilan, in which he welcomed the attendees, and congratulated them on the occasion of the anniversary of the 85th National Day. “This blessed anniversary, with the cohesion and the renewal of loyalty and obedience to the rulers of our nation, reflects the love of the people for their homeland and its leaders.” Mr. Osilan said. He also noted that “We are proud of the unique and historical achievements of our beloved country, and we appreciate this anniversary of the National Day, which fills our souls with pride and glory, while watching our sons and daughters progressing year after year in various fields.” “This is why we are getting enthusiastic and dedicated in service of this blessed land, the cradle of Islam and destination of all Muslims, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques (God Bless Him), who has dedicated his time and effort to serve this country and its citizens,” he continued. Mr. Osilan added “Those bold leaps of development are not only achieved by hard work but also by the will, sincere determination and continuous follow-up that aim at serving generations after generations.” “This is what His Majesty King Abdul Aziz, the founder of this country (God Rest His Soul) had planned for, and through the adherence to the Sharia Law and the Islamic value of tolerance, the King and his sons after him have given Saudi people a motive for hard work, loyalty and perseverance that yielded the dramatic growth of our country and made the kingdom a memorable example of development in various fields such as science, economy, culture and history.” He added. Mr. Osilan concluded “On the National Day anniversary, we remember and deeply appreciate all the efforts and sacrifices made by our forefathers for the building of this glory.” Afterwards, a screening entitled (What the University Has Provided to the Country), showed the number of achievements and services provided by the university to its community and the society at large. Subsequently, the University rector has honored the retired employees, in a gesture reflecting the loyalty of the university administration for each employee who had served in this great institution. Then the university Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees of the university employees and guests. “Happy Eid to all of you, and to our father King Salman (God Bless Him), to the Crown Prince and Minister of Interior, Prince Muhammad Bin Nayef Bin Abdul-Aziz and the Deputy-crown Prince and Minister of Defense, Prince Muhammad Bin Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz (God Bless Them) to all the Saudi people and all Muslims around the globe.” Dr. Muqrin started. “This country has been granted great blessings from Allah the almighty. Dr. Muqrin added. “One of these blessings is our monotheism, which has elevated our country to the highest level of respect and glory all over the Islamic world, and the second grace is having the two Holy Mosques on its land and its service of pilgrims.” He continued. He added that the university is celebrating the anniversary of the 85th National Day today, commemorating the unification of the kingdom by His Majesty King Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud the founder (God Bless His Soul). “On this occasion, we remember the great blessings of security, stability and affluence of this country,” he added. In his speech, Dr. Muqrin urged the university employees to do their best for this generous country and contribute to its security and stability through cooperation with the leadership of the kingdom. Moreover, he noted the efforts of the soldiers, particularly those who are stationed on the southern borders, and those serving throughout this country in general. He also prayed the almighty to guide and reward them for their heroic acts, as they ensure our safety and security at home. At the end of his speech, the rector praised the successive achievements of the university, which have been completed thanks to God and to the unlimited support that the university has been receiving by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. At the end of the ceremony, a documentary entitled (security shades), was presented showing the great blessings of security, stability and welfare that God the almighty has bestowed on this country, and the efforts of the founder King Abdul-Aziz (God Rest His Soul). Then the audience commanded the organization and implementation of the celebration. It is worth mentioning that the celebration of the National Day is one of the important and precious occasions that the university is keen to celebrate every year in all its branches in Majmaah, Zulfi, Ghaat,Rumah and Hawtet Sedair. The celebration of this event is dear to the hearts of all Saudi citizens, and Muslims all over the world in general, as the Kingdom enjoys a special status due to its embrace of the Two Holy Mosques and the provision of service and care to them in addition to its adoption of the issues of the neighboring Arab countries and the Muslim world as a rule from the reigns of the founder, King Abdul Aziz (God Rest His Soul) and his sons’ (God Bless Them). The Celebration of Majmaah University of the National Day, this precious occasion, aim to consolidate the national values and belonging in the hearts of the employees and students of Majmaah University. It also highlights the blessings of safety, security and welfare that this country enjoys, which help it embrace the issues of the Arab and Islamic world. The University has also been keen, since its inauguration, to highlight the occasion through the establishment of several events each year including student activities and publications within the university telling the history of the foundation of this blessed country. These events and publication inside and outside Majmaah play a significant role in the consolidation of the national values and the sense of belonging in the hearts of employees of the university This is the seventh year of the university celebration of the National Day and its various accomplishments in academia and administration in light of the unlimited support by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud (God Bless Him), Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud (God Bless Him), Deputy- crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud (God Bless Him), the Ministry of Education, led by the Minister of Education, Dr. Azzam bin Mohammed Al-Dakhil, the instructions of the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin and the considerable efforts of the university staff who have been leaders of creativity and excellence.
