On the occasion of the start the new academic year, the Rector has delivered a welcoming speech to the University staff: “Praise be the Lord who enlightened us with knowledge and wisdom, and Peace and Blessings be on Prophet Muhammad, the teacher of goodness. Our current civilization has provided us with values on which the foundation and principles of knowledge were established, allowing people to think and participate in scientific innovations across various fields. Such thinking and creativity are both fostered by university education that has a substantial role in setting priorities, building and enhancing students’ skills as well as qualifying a caliber of effective leaders. On this occasion, I would like to congratulate the staff and students at our University, urging the newly enrolled students to do their best to show respect, preserve the University property and benefit from their studies on campus by taking advantage of our student-centered teaching and learning philosophy. I would also advise our students to work hard, be grateful for what they have and take part in curricular and extracurricular activities on campus. Our purpose here at Majmaah University is to contribute to the development of the colleges, education process and students from all over the country in line with the strategic vision of the University aiming to achieve the 2030 vision of the Kingdom. In our attempts to improve education and research at the University, we uphold the values of equality, transparency and justice in addition to our greater emphasis on productivity, observation of regulations and fixing errors. I hope that the beginning of studies shows seriousness and discipline in all colleges from the first day, as with hard work and dedication, the University programs and facilities have been completed, permitting us to ponder the expansion of our capabilities to establish quality colleges as well as departments. The University, through hard work and persistence, has been able to obtain full institutional accreditation for seven years from the National Center for Academic Assessment and Accreditation, which has been accomplished following the realization of the requirements of the academic accreditation standards. We also emphasize that the achievements do not stop at a certain level or in a specific area, as we aim to achieve the highest quality in academia and research.
