Under the patronage of His Highness the Rector, Dr. Khalid Bin Sa'ad Al-Mogren and with the attendance of Deputies, Deans of Colleges and Supported Deanships, faculty members and staff and a number of colleges students, the Public Relationships and University Media Department and Students Affair Deanship organized an oratorical ceremony on the occasion of the 83 commemoration of the national day.
The ceremony which was presented by the students Anas Al-Dukhail was initiated by a historical film (the story of the Kingdom unification) included a historical account of a number of historical events that represents the beginning of the establishment of the Kingdom and the most important stances that contributed to the development of the Kingdom in various fields.
After that, a national poem for the poet Ahmed Al-Kunaini presented by Osama Al-Kunaini which received the audience admiration followed by an operetta entitled (may nation 83) where students excelled in presenting a number of songs that show the developmental stages of the Kingdom until the current time as well as the achievements of the Kingdom and the University. The operetta won the audience admiration.
A speech was delivered by the Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Mogren where he renewed the pledge of allegiance and loyalty to the leadership of this country on behalf of all employees of the university. His Highness congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz on the national day and asked God to perpetuate this blessing of security and safety in this country under the leadership of this government which always seeks to fulfill citizens' interests in various fields. His Highness also praised the support that the University receives by which it was able to continue providing educational services to a wide geographical area in accordance with the goals of the Ministry of Higher Education. Finally, His Highness concluded the ceremony and left the ceremony in a hospitality atmosphere.
