Mission: The mission of the program is to develop students' breadth of knowledge and skills across the subject areas of computer science to join the job market.
I am delighted to welcome you to the Department of Information Technology at the College of Computer and Information Sciences. The department strives to create and promote a better learning and research environment that is accredited locally and globally in the field of information technology. The Department of IT also contributes to achieving the country’s Vision 2030 by providing knowledge and skills to students in line with the market’s needs in Saudi Arabia. The department has earned the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology “ABET”.
The program focuses on mathematical and theoretical foundations of computing. English is the medium of instruction for all courses teaching the specialization and basic science. All students are required to complete a graduation project as part of their graduation requirements. The computer science program has four main majors from which students can choose one: (1) Software Engineering (2) Computer Security (3) Artificial Intelligence (4) Data Science
The Vice-Dean’s Office for Academic Accreditation supervises a number of departments and units including : Institutional Accreditation Department, Program-Based Accreditation Department and International Classification Unit. These departments and units are assigned with a number of tasks outlined in organizational structure of the Vice-Dean’s Office.

Mission: The mission of the program is to develop students' breadth of knowledge and skills across the subject areas of computer engineering to be qualified to join the job market. Objectives : The educational objectives set by the CE program determine the skills and knowledge students should master to have be able to have a successful career three or four years after graduation.
