Under the guidance of Dean of College of Business Administration Dr. Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Hamoud and the Excellency of the Head of the law department Dr. Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Shafi, Law Department participated through the presence of HE Dr. Najib bin Omar Owainat and HE Dr. Mohammed bin Saad Fuda in the sixth course for scientific seminar in the field of international humanitarian law in the city of Riyadh at the headquarters of the Arab Organization for the Red Crescent and the international Red Cross under the title "International humanitarian law and the Arab states" in 6-8/5/1434 AH under the patronage of Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, the President of Saudi Red Crescent Authority and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of international humanitarian law, the Organization of Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross have held a scientific seminar " and this comes from the keenness of the Arab Organization for the Red Crescent and the Red Cross to promote a culture of international humanitarian law and as an interaction with the events experienced by the Arab region.
And it addressed important topics and discussed the field applications and risking in humanitarian work, and the protection of its international items which were proclaimed in the Geneva Convention in which the reality of international humanitarian law in the Arab region was highlighted that exposed to the international and non-international armed conflicts which had an impact obviously not on international humanitarian law only but also on the humanitarian work with the participation of the Red Crescent and the Arab Red Cross societies and many government and non-governmental entities from inside and outside Saudi Arabia, and a group of experts in the international humanitarian law and humanitarian work, and participants from Arab countries.
The Excellency Dr. Najib bin Omar Owainat and HE Dr. Mohammed bin Saad Fuda who are the faculty members in the general law in Law department have participated in enriching the scientific seminar through several interventions and debates that won the approbation of the attendees present and it confirmed the extent of the role of such conferences and scientific seminars to develop the faculty members skills and enrich their knowledge and confirm keep up of the department and the college and university with all demonstrations and scientific conferences.
