The message of Basic Sciences Department at the Deanship of the Preparatory Year Program at Almajmmah University summarizes in preparing students scientifically and   practically through qualified staff andemploying high technology, and meet the needs of the student from the basic knowledge of the natural sciences in a simple and accessible way, and the producing a distinctive quality of students in an educational environment encouraging to learning and innovation

Goals

•  Developing abilities and skills that help student to build his academic career and personality.
• Developing individual academic skills and cooperative learning that help student work easily in groups and interact with others in problems solving activities.
• Providing student with basic principal and skills in science (math- physics- chemistry -biology) as well as  the ability of solving equations base on theses subjects.
•  Proving student with basic skills that help him to access to modern technology and electronic programs to activate his creativity.
• Developing students’ extra curriculum abilities as well as building his personal skills.

 Vision

The Department of Basic Sciences of the preparatory year at Al Majmaah University  could take his program to the leadership at the level of university departments and to the stage of building the students’ abilities in Academic achievement and interaction optimization in the university environment.

 Achievements

•  Physics laboratories have been activated, and experiments have been done to reinforce the students' theoretical knowledge.
•       Chemistry and biology labs have been prepared to be ready for use next academic year insha Allah.
•       Chemistry subject has been computerized on power point presentation to be delivered in classes through activating the electronic platforms and smart boards.
