E-Learning Unit

This Unit is concerned with supervising the workflow of laboratories and e-learning classrooms, implementing and running the approved policies and programs in the fields of e-learning and educational services, and achieving the objectives set for them.

This Unit is under the Vice Dean for Educational Affairs

General objective: to supervise the techniques and applications of e-learning in the Deanship

Main actions:

1. Train and follow up with students on the use of e-learning systems.

2. Follow-up problems on the system with the Deanship of E-Learning.

3. Prepare and follow-up on electronic tests.

4. Train faculty members on electronic systems in education.

Operational steps to get the job done

1. Train and follow-up with students on the use of e-learning systems.

Procedure details:

1. Counting the number of students registered for e-learning courses in cooperation with the Vice-Dean's Office for Educational Affairs.

2. Distributing students to training courses according to the capacity of laboratories and the number of students.

3. Informing students of the dates and locations of their training.

4. Training students on the system.

2. Follow-up problems on the system with the Deanship of E-Learning.

Procedure details:

2-1 Students mention the problem to the unit or the subject teacher.

2-2 The student is logged into the system by the unit to see the problem.

2-3 The problem is solved by the unit, and if that is not possible, it will be submitted to the Deanship of E-Learning for a technical solution.

3. Preparation and follow-up of electronic tests

Procedure details:

3-1 Ensuring the readiness of laboratories and state the capacity (in cooperation with the Deanship of Information Technology).

3-2 Counting the number of students registered for each subject and their names (updated list of admission and registration)

3-3 Distributing students to laboratories on the day of the test.

3-4 Submitting the exam timetable to the Deanship of E-Learning and the Examinations Committee.

3-5 Informing students of the date and place of their examination.

3-6 Informing students of the test instructions.

3-7 Ensuring that students are present on time by signing the attendance sheet and verifying the personal identity of each student.

3-8 Checking test instructions

3-9 Ensuring that all students check the test page on the site 

3-10 Give the password to students to join the test.

3-11 Ensuring that no technical problems occur during the test, and if there is a technical problem, work to solve it with the Deanship of E-Learning and the Deanship of Information Technology.

3-12 Preparing a report on the progress of the test after its completion.

4. Train faculty members on electronic systems in education.

Procedure details:

4-1 Determining the needs of faculty members for training courses in e-learning.

4-2 A Preparing timetable for training courses and their dates

4-3  Announcing courses for faculty members.

4-4 Conducting courses on time.

4-5 Preparing a report on the progress of the courses.
