20250804812A remarkable achievement was added to Majmaah University as a group of students from the Robotics Club at the Deanship of Information Technology and E-Learning won first and second place in the university-level category of the Robotics Sports Competition and and the Sumo Robot category during the National Finals of the World Robot Olympiad (WRO 2025).
The competition was organized by the Ministry of Education, in partnership with the Saudi Federation for Robotics and RC Sports and Tatweer Educational Technologies Company (TETCO), under the theme “The Future of Robots and Space.”
The winning students, from the College of Science and the College of Computer and Information Sciences, were honored at the Ministry of Education in recognition of their excellence and creativity, in the presence of Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari, Vice-Rector for Development and Investment, and Dr. Khalid Al-Mudaibiri, Dean of Information Technology and E-Learning.
This achievement highlights the students’ exceptional innovation, design, and engineering thinking skills, and reflects the Robotics Club’s commitment to nurturing technical and creative talent in robotics, technology, and artificial intelligence.
All the students’ innovative robotics projects have also been nominated to represent Saudi Arabia in the World Robot Olympiad international competition.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Al-Mudaibiri, commended the outstanding creativity and innovation that reflect the high caliber of Majmaah University’s students. The Deanship is committed to support and empower student talent to compete globally in technology and innovation, pointed out Dr. Al-Mudairi.
