Academic Staff Affairs Unit

Responsibilities

  1. Handling faculty members' issues and the like on matters such as promotion requests, sabbaticals, conference attendance, and more.

  2. Supporting teaching assistants and lecturers on improving the language skills required by international academic institutions.

  3. Facilitating the procedures related to the scholarships and study abroad processes for teaching assistants and lecturers.

  4. Maintaining communication with teaching assistants and lecturers during their scholarship period to encourage knowledge exchange and transfer of global experiences via activities of international academic institutions.

  5. Contribute to solving problems and difficulties faced by scholarship-students abroad.

  6. Communicating with international academic institutions affiliated with Majmaah University to activate agreements for the acceptance of teaching assistants and lecturers.

  7. Visiting target universities and signing agreements with them to coordinate the acceptance of teaching assistants and lecturers.

  8. Communicating with distinguished global universities to learn about admission requirements and deadlines.

  9. Coordinating with teaching assistants and lecturers to facilitate scholarship-related procedures.

  10. Proposing general policies for the selection of teaching assistants and lecturers and assigning them to the various departments of the college.

  11. Receiving application files from the Human Resources Department and sorting them.

  12. Sending all applications to the relevant academic departments for evaluation, review, and conducting the necessary tests and interviews.

  13. Following up on the files with the various departments and returning them to the Unit of Teaching Assistants after obtaining approvals from the relevant councils.

  14. Ensuring that all candidates undergo the required tests and interviews and meet all conditions accordingly.

  15. Monitoring the regulations and policies of the University Affairs Council to present them to the relevant committees for discussion and decision-making.

  16. Reviewing recommendations regarding the transfer of lecturers and teaching assistants to administrative positions within the university or their referral to the Civil Service Bureau.
