Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Unit

Responsibilities

1. Developing a strategy for graduate studies and scientific research that aligns with the strategies of the college and the university.

2. Preparing manuals that regulate admission, registration, study, and supervision rules for graduate studies, and making them available electronically.

3. Launching exceptional programs in various specializations to achieve innovative scientific and applied contributions.

4. Securing research grants from both government and private sectors to increase the college’s resources for scientific research, as well as participation in conferences and symposiums.

5. Assisting outstanding students in pursuing their graduate studies through internal and external scholarships to prestigious universities.

6. Promoting the publication of research in specialized scientific journals locally and internationally, while encouraging researchers to publish in top-tier international journals.

7. Preparing the budget for graduate studies and scientific research and ensuring its inclusion in the college's overall budget.

8. Creating a comprehensive database that includes information about graduate faculty members in the college, as well as lists of theses and research registered in universities both inside and outside the Kingdom to facilitate researcher access.

9. Supporting outstanding scientific research, whether theoretical or applied, and coordinating efforts among researchers. Researchers are encouraged to focus on studies that address problems faced by the public and private sectors in the region.

10. Creating conducive research environment that fosters innovation and creativity and contributes to solving problems faced by the college and the wider community.

11. Supervising the scholarship programs of teaching assistants and lecturers at the college, and following up on their academic, administrative, and financial status in their scholarship institutions.

12. Submitting periodic reports on the status of graduate studies and scientific research at the college.
