Al-Dewan School in Modern Arabic Criticism- Advantages and Disadvantages
In cooperation with the Research Unit at the College of Education in Zulfi, the Research Committee at the Arabic Language Department held a seminar entitled “Al-Dewan School in Modern Arabic Criticism – Advantages and Disadvantages” delivered by Dr. Abeer Muhammad, Associate Professor of Literature and Criticism at the College. The seminar which took place on Thursday 28/02/1437 AH centered on the following topics: the Dewan School of Literature as one of the most important schools of modern Arabic literature and criticism, The reasons of its emergence, characteristics, its pioneers, the essential features of the school, the common features of school poets and the differences between the Dewan poets and Renaissance poets as well as the disadvantages that the Dewan poets say about the Renaissance poets.
