D2L Course Management and Teaching

The Zilfi college of education held a training session entitled "D2L course management and teaching". Dr. Mohsen Shaalan, the supervisor of the e-learning unit conducted the training which took place on Thursday 15/11/1437 in the college theatre. Objectives of the training. 1. To spread the culture of electronic learning. 2. Highlight the importance of e-learning to both student and teacher. 3. To Assess the use of D2L in the previous academic year. Content: in the light of the college care to grasp technological developments in the educational field and adopt the latest techniques, the E-learning unit supervisor Dr. Mohsen AL Shaalan conducted a training session on D2L Course management and teaching. Dr. Thafer AL Qurani, the college vice dean for academic affairs in addition to faculty of both male and female sections attended the training which focused on the importance of e-learning in terms of the benefit it has in saving time and effort and in terms of student self-training. The training tackled also the main problems faculty faced in the previous academic year and provided suggestions to solve them. The floor was given at the end of the training to questions of faculty whose queries were answered by both the vice dean and the supervisor of the e-unit.
