The Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Sessions were held in the Arabic Department
The fifth weekly session was held on Monday 22/01/1435 AH at twelve o’clock in the Arabic Language Department and it was entitled: Linguistic reviews of some Quranic verses and it was presented by His Excellency Dr. Anwar Sayed who demonstrated, throughout a number of Quranic verses, some of the Quranic techniques, the eloquence and expressiveness they entail as well as their miraculous structures. The meeting was attended by some of the department members, some teachers from the Education Department and the Studies department and some students.
The sixth weekly session was also held in the Arabic Language Department on Monday 29/01/1435 AH at twelve o’clock and it was entitled: the Hamadhani and Khwarizmi contest; a critical review, presented by His Excellency Dr. Adel Atemsahi at the department headquarters after His Excellency head of the department, Dr. Fahad Al-Melhem had provided him with the contest definition, its date, conditions, and themes. He indeed elaborated on the Hamadhani and Khwarizmi contest. The meeting was attended by a number of Their Excellency the college faculty members.
Under the supervision of the head of the department Dr. Fahad Al-Melhem, the seventh weekly session was also held on Monday, 02/06/1435 at twelve o’clock in the Arabic Language department and it was entitled ‘A reading of the poem: A memorandum of an Arabic woman’ of the poet Rawdha Al-Haj and it was presented by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al-Amin at the Department headquarters. Dr Abdullah dealt with the poesy of Rawdha Haj and how she had won the Prince of poets prize in the UAE and the Souk Okaz award in Taif. He also demonstrated the advantages and characteristics of her poetry, and then he presented examples of her poems. The audience’s interventions and questions were enriching. The meeting was attended by the lecturer Hamza Ayasirrah and Dr. Mahmoud Maabreh; Head of the Excellence Unit and their Excellency the department faculty members.
