Lecture on Down Syndrome

In line with the role of the Department of Educational Sciences in serving the community and its active participation in national and international events, the Community Service Committee celebrated the International Day of Down Syndrome with the Department on March 21 this year.

The slogan of World Day for Down Syndrome this year was “What I can Do for Community”.

An awareness lecture on the mental health of children with Down Syndrome and their families was held on Wednesday, 04/07/1439 in the College of Education in Zulfi at 9:00 am.

Presented by Dr. Mona Tawakul Al Sayed, Professor of Mental Health and Education, the lecture addressed the psychological and health problems, psychological and health needs, assessment and support for those children and their families; the importance of integrating them into society and developing their abilities to enhance their mental health, social integration and education.
