The Training Unit at the Department of English Language held an activity entitled “Lesson Planning”
Goals of the activity:
- Introduce the concept and importance of lesson planning
- Highlight the skills of setting goals
- Practices how to use lesson plan sample
Content of the activity:
- Explain the concept and importance of lesson planning
- How to write goals and tasks?
- Practical steps of planning a lesson
- A hands-on training on how to use a lesson plan sample
Teacher in general, novice or experts, strive to master the skills of lesson planning. Any teacher preparation course usually includes the skills of lesson planning. Although there are a host of lesson planning samples out there, they must contain certain elements without which the lesson plan is deemed incomplete.
This workshop addresses the definition of lesson planning and its importance, how to formulate the goals and tasks and practical steps to plan a lesson.
