Reception ceremony for new faculty members
Under the auspices of the Dean of the College of Education in Zulfi, Dr. Rashid Bin Hamoud Al Thunayyan, the College of Education held a reception ceremony for the new faculty members on Tuesday 10/11/1436 H in the college meeting hall. The meeting was attended by His Excellency the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, His Excellency the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, and heads of the academic departments in the college. The ceremony took place in an academic and sociable atmosphere that reflects the good spirit of work in the college. During the meeting, the Dean welcomed the faculty members who have joined the college and expressed his pleasure for their arrival. Moreover, he talked about the college progress since its inception, its excellence in many aspects and his aspiration to more quality and perfection. In addition, he stressed the importance of instilling high values in our students, being at a distance from anything that violates the system of this blessed country, and knowing their rights and duties. He also urged them to have the desire to participate in all college activities, scientific research and community service. He then wished them a successful academic year. Furthermore, His Excellency the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs also talked about the followed mechanisms and the procedures and tasks required from the new members, in which he clarified what concerns the educational process and the college units, and the role of the faculty members. On the other side, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs commented on the importance of the exchange of scientific expertise and their participation as the members are nominated from well-known and prestigious universities at the regional level. One of the contractors of the faculty members spoke about his work experience in the College during the last years. The Head of Quality talked about some of the points that must be followed by the teaching staff to achieve quality in educational results. Then, he gave the floor to members’ interventions, and provided answers for all their questions. Finally, His Excellency invited them for the lunch prepared for this occasion.
