ZILFI COLLEGE TIBYAN SERIES OF SEMINARS ON QURAN
The Saudi Scientific Society for the Noble Qur’an and its Sciences (Tibyan), represented by its branch in the College of Education in Zilfi, Majmaah University, is currently conducting a series of periodical seminars entitled “Verse and Meditation" in cooperation with the Unit of Student Activities and the Unit of Public Relations in the college. The seminars are delivered after the noon prayer on Sundays in the mosque of Zilfi Campus. A scholar would select a Qura’anic verse and together with the attendees would carefully go over it and deduce its implications and the wisdoms it carries. The first seminar was conducted on Sunday 28/12/1436 َby Dr. Aqeel AL Shammari, the professor of Qur’an Interpretation in the Department of Islamic Studies. The speaker selected for analysis and interpretation The Ayah (verse):" "ولا تكونوا كالذين نسوا الله فأنساهم أنفسهم(Be not like those who forget Allah, So Allah made them oblivious of their own selves.) Dr. Aqeel spoke on Allah's punishment for those humans who forget to rectify their own defects and never remember to better and improve themselves. Dr. AL shammari concluded his analysis by the extrapolation that the more a man busy themselves with other people, the more they forgets themselves.
