Zulfi College of Education Holds a Training Session on Being a da'ya (a Preacher)
As part of the program (Volunteering is a way to excel), the College held a training session for a group of the College students in the program on Monday 14/05/1437 AH at 11:00 am to become community preachers. The session was presented by both Dr. Najwa Ibrahim Musa and Dr. Khawater Musa Fadlallah, and supervised by Mrs. Reem Al-Mutairi. Dr. Najwa began the session by defining Al-da'wa (preaching to Islam) and its conditions, and then she explained the following points: 1. Types and forms of Al-da'wa. 2. The necessity of starting with one's self before Al-da'wa. 3. The nobility of Al-da'wa in Islam as it was prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) job. 4. The importance of conveying Al-da'wa. 5. The rewards of Al-da'wa in this life and the afterlife. Next, Dr, Khawater continued the session by explaining the following points: 1. The foundations of Al-da'wa. 2. Identifying the subject and targets of Al-da'wa. 3. Identifying the tools of Al-da'wa. 4. The preacher's (Al-da'ya) characteristics, which are as follow: A. Pure certainty of Allah and sincerity of intention for him. B. Chastity and modesty. C. Taking into account the others' rights. D. Patience and sacrifice. E. anti-discrimination. F. Able to unify people. G. Being a moral good example for others through the thick and thin. H. Distinctive performance. I. A leading and pivotal figure. J. Modern and a good diplomat. 5. Successful communication skills, which include communicating with others, body language, and personality patterns. 6. The filter rule.
