A team from the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development visited the College of Engineering to conduct an internal audit to evaluate the achievement of the four academic departments of the College for the Standards of Local Accreditation for Engineering and Technology on Tuesday 3/7/1439.
The team was headed by Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Rumaih, Vice Rector for Educational Affairs, accompanied by the Dean of Quality and Skills Development, Dr. Mohammed Bin Saleh Al Aboudi.
The Dean of the College of Engineering welcomed the team at the College of Engineering and gave them a brief introduction about the College and how it was committed to apply the standards of academic accreditation for engineering and technology to become an accredited internal system for the College.
The team then toured the College facilities and checked the classrooms, engineering laboratories, and faculty and staff offices.
The delegation also visited the laboratories of the college to check the capabilities in line with the academic accreditation standards.
The visiting delegation later met with the supervisors of the laboratories in the various departments of the college.
Individual meetings with faculty members were held to see their commitment to academic accreditation standards when setting their courses and tests.
The team also met some of the students of the various academic departments of the college, and some of the graduate students from the college.
At the end of the tour, the visiting team provided a tentative report to the College administration on the extent to which the College has applied the local academic accreditation criteria for engineering and technology and some important observations.
The College of Engineering will soon be provided with a detailed official report.
