Activities
The Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department is currently engaged in seeking the accreditation from National Commission for Assessment and Accreditation (NCAAA) and Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) to foster the systematic pursuit of improvement and innovation in the pedagogy of engineering education.
One of the main activities is to articulate the procedures, guidelines, and objectives in line with the directives of the NCAAA and ABET accreditation process. The vision, mission statements and program educational objectives are developed in consistent with that of engineering college. The department has prepared student learning outcomes that will facilitate to prepare competent graduates to attain the program educational objectives. Students learning outcomes for individual subject are identified. Mapping Matrix between students learning outcomes and subjects for ready reference is developed after several rounds of churning discussions. The adequacy and performance level of each learning outcome is judged through Key Performance Indicators. The corrective measures will be taken to atone the deficiencies. The course specifications are now available for all the courses offered, and at the end of each semester, course reports are prepared. The results of these evaluations must be systematically utilized as input for the continuous improvement of the program and review of curriculum.
