The College of Engineering held its orientation meeting for new students which was attended by Dr. Anas Al-Munif, Vice Dean for Educational Affairs and Development, along with faculty members, the Heads of the Student Activities Unit, and the Academic Advising and Student Rights Unit.
The program introduced students to the college and its academic departments, the study regulations, examinations, and students’ rights and responsibilities.
In his welcome address, Dr. Al-Munif congratulated the students on their admission to the college, encouraging them to strive for academic excellence and personal growth. He also highlighted a comprehensive student guide prepared by the Vice Dean’s Office that covers admission requirements, program options, and advice on selecting the most suitable major based on students’ ambitions and abilities.
Speakers from the Academic Advising and Student Rights Unit emphasized the importance of academic advising, explaining how it supports students in understanding university regulations, planning their study path, and completing graduation requirements smoothly.
The Student Activities Unit highlighted extracurricular opportunities offered by the college and university, noting their role in enhancing students’ skills, broadening their experiences, and enriching their university journey.
The session concluded with an open discussion, where new students’ questions were answered and their ideas shared.
