Based on its concern to improve students’ daily skills and to utilize their spare time effectively, the Dean’s Office for Student Affairs conducted the first summer training program with the theme ‘Wa’aed’. The program was held based on the directive of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren and the follow-up of the vice-rector for educational affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih.
10 courses were held during the period from 13-24/10/1440; each course with a total of 4 training hours. The courses are as follow:
1. How manage my life effectively
2. Time management
3. Future planning skills
4. Effective interpersonal skills
5. Introduction to graphic design
6. Ethics for university student
7. Summary: rules and application
8. Successful leadership skills
9. Youth skills in the field of social responsibility
10. Essentials of digital marketing
The courses were designed to address future skills related to self-development, responsibility, critical thinking, problems solving, work team and entrepreneurship. Registration was made available for university and high-school students via an e-form.
A large number of students participated in these courses which demonstrate their great interest to attend such developmental courses. A certificate of attendance is provided along with joining the lucky draw.
As a form of appreciation, MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren, and the vice-rector for educational affairs visited the program and listened to students’ feedback about these courses.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al-Ofaysan, extended his thanks to MU Rector and Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, for their continuous support and advice to the programs held by the Dean’s Office.
