Under the patronage of the Vice Rector for Educational Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al Rumaih, the College of Medicine, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a campaign titled “Your Precious Eyes” to raise awareness of common diseases in ophthalmology at Majmaah Mall on Friday 23/5/1439.
Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al-Abdul Wahab, Dean of the College of Medicine and Student Affairs Dean Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Ofaisan along with the Vice Dean for Student Activities Dr. Shadi bin Abdullah Al-Shwaieer attended the opening of the campaign.
The campaign addressed the diseases affecting the eye: 1 - white water 2 - blue water 3 - 4 - retinal disorders 5 - refractive defects 6 - lazy eye 7 - contact lenses.
The 2-day campaign included a corner for eye checkups with over 600 visitors.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al-Ofaisan, praised the efforts of the Dean of the College of Medicine and the campaign organizers in supporting and following up the campaign.
Dr. Al-Ofaisan thanked the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Rumaih for his support of the activities of the campaign, pointing out that there are many campaigns and awareness programs in the plan of the Deanship of Student Affairs in the future.
