In attempt to create an environment conducive to learning and to provide healthy catering services to students, the Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA), represented by the Department of Nutrition, conducted a series of inspection tours to colleges in Majmaah, Zulfi, Ghat, Remah and Hawtat Sudair with the aim of checking the catering services provided by cafeterias, restaurants and vending machines. This step, which was based on the directive of the dean of DSA and the follow up of the vice-dean for student affairs, was motivated by the concern of the DSA to ensure that the providers of those catering services are applying the required quality, health and safety standards. A special report was also prepared for every provider and submitted to the vice-dean for student affairs. The DSA has weekly plans to follow up the work of catering providers during work hours and in the evening.
