Based on the directive of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Mugren and the follow-up of the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih as well as the supervision of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al-Ofaysan, MU’s scout took part in general services programs for Hajj 1440 AH. A total of 32 boy scouts, divided into two teams participated in Hajj season. The leaders of two teams attended a range of specialized courses in Arafat camp to receive relevant trainings. At the main campus and prior their leave, the Dean, Dr. Al-Ofaysan had a meeting with the two teams, who were highly equipped with the necessary needs, and encouraged them to exert their efforts to serve pilgrims as this important season is watched by the entire world. Upon their arrival to Arafat camp on 9/12/1440 AH, the two teams commenced a wide range of works including survey, guidance of others, reading maps, sites and camps. Whereas the first team began a field word in Arafat helping pilgrims, the second team headed to Mina. Over 700 lost pilgrims were guided and more than 3570 pilgrims were taken from and to stoning site. Upon their return from Hajj sites, the scouts were received by the Dean, Dr. Al-Ofaysan and some staff at the main campus. Dr. Al-Ofaysan, the Dean, extended his thanks to MU Rector, Dr. Al-Mugren and the Vice-Rector, Dr. Al-Rumaih, for their support and follow-up to the participation of students in Hajj season.
