Mu Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin received in his Office the University Ping-Pong team players -headed by the Dean of Student Affairs and vice deans- to award them medals for their achievements.
Vice-Rector of Educational Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al-Rumaih, pointed out the various achievements made by the University in sports, appreciating the participation of the students in such tournaments.
The Rector delivered a speech on that occasion commending the accomplishments of the University despite it is new. He encouraged students to develop their skills so that they could be more creative in their respective fields.
The table tennis team participated in the 8th Saudi Ping-Pong Federation Tournament- hosted by the University of Shaqra. They won silver medals for the 4th time, and gold for the first time in the Doubles Championship.
The following students have represented the university in the competition: Mishal Al-Khamis from the College of Engineering, Sultan Al-Kahmis and Nayef Al-Rashed from the College of Business Administration in addition to Ziad Al-Issa from the College of Science and Humanities in Ghat. The Doubles team was represented by Mishal Al-Khamis, Sultan Al-Khamis, Coach Hisham Othman, Nasser Al-Hanu and Abdul Aziz Al-Khalaf.
Head of the Department of Sports Activities and Scouts Mr. Nasser Al-Hanoo thanked the Dean of Student Affairs and Vice Dean of Student Activities for their support and follow up.
Al-Hanoo also thanked the technical and administrative departments and the players for their efforts.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Khalid Al-Ofaisan, extended his appreciation to the Rector and the Vice-Rector of Student Affairs for their support of the University team.
