DEANSHIP OF COMMUNITY SERVICE PUTS MU AWARD FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE 2020 TO A VOTE

As part of the preparation process to announce winners of MU Award for Community Service, 2020, the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Education put the award to a vote. A link was shared with beneficiaries of the organizations and institutions nominated for the four version of the award.

The award targets community service units at colleges and local community institutions both public and private.

Dr. Omar al-Sharyofi, general secretary of the award, pointed out that beneficiaries’ opinion about the role of institutions in serving the community and the university is vital and deemed one of the criteria for the success of any institutions.

The award is one of the deanship’s initiatives for the fourth time in a row and features 21 prizes divided into different categories, including volunteering, social, economic, cultural and intellectual.

The award board chaired by MU rector, Dr. Khalid al-Muqren, provides full support to working committees to improve the nomination and evaluation procedures of the ward.

Since its launched back in 1439 AH, the board has striven to make the award a source of motivation for the university community, both individuals and institutions, to promote the community and voluntary works.

Dr. al-Sharyofi added that winners, over the past years, were honored to receive prizes from Riyadh Governor, Prince Bander bin Faisal Al-Saud.
