The Deanship of Student Affairs and the College of Computer Sciences and Information, in cooperation with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, are participating in the competition launched by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) in partnership with Microsoft.
The competition (ATHKA U) targets students at the Kingdom's universities and aims to develop students' skills in the field of artificial intelligence technologies to compete globally and win the Microsoft global competition "Imagine Cup" and provide them opportunities to transform their ideas into innovative solutions based on artificial intelligence technologies.
The competition includes a training program starting from October 28 to November 23, in which students acquire skills in using artificial intelligence and designing innovative solutions with the opportunity to obtain three professional certificates accredited by Microsoft.
The competition extends after training to three main stages and they are: the first stage from November 24 to December 1 during which 84 teams qualify. The second phase, from December 2 to January 5, will see contestants compete according to the criteria of the “ATHKA U” and “Imagine Cup” competitions, with 30 teams qualifying for the final stage.
In the final phase, which lasts from January 12-13, the competition will be for the top 10 places. The winning teams will qualify to participate in the 2025 Imagine Cup competition worldwide in Seattle with winners from different countries.
