Head of Section
Dr. Ibrahim Alarifi
Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Majma University. The Department of Mechanical Engineering is a vital component of the Faculty of Engineering since the University was founded in 2008. The first batch graduated from the Department in the academic year 2013/2014. Our goal in this section is to provide university students with high quality engineering education. Graduates now work in government and industrial institutions.
Mechanical engineering focuses on the principles of strength, energy and movement. Mechanical engineer works on the designs of machines and robots, electromechanical devices and various products and control systems, and works in the generation, transformation, transportation and utilization of mechanical and thermal energy. The program has three specialized tracks that are flexible enough to adapt to the diverse nature of mechanical engineering and to meet the rapidly changing industrial environment.
It is recognized that the strong background in the fundamentals of mechanical engineering, the strong sense of work ethic, and the competition among its graduates constituent the mainstay of university degree holders. To this end, the mechanical engineering program, such as the other engineering programs of the College, is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Authority ( NCAAA ) as well as the Engineering and Technology Accreditation Board ( ABET ).
We welcome you to be part of this challenging and stimulating environment if you are looking for opportunities to learn to become a future mechanical engineer.
