His Excellency the Vice Rector, Dr, Muslim Bin Mohamed Al Dosari launched the workshop of Takhrij Al Hadith Al-Sharif in the College of Education Al-Zulfi. Indeed, the workshop is the first of its kind at the university level, and one of the peculiarities of the higher education in terms of processing and content integration. Furthermore, His Excellency the President of the Islamic Studies Department Dr, Mohamed Bin Abdullah Al-Tayar had presented a brief overview about the laboratory. Then, Dr Salah Bin Frih Al-Bahlal – the owner of the laboratory creation idea- presented a detailed explanation about the laboratory. Also, he clarified the purpose behind its creation which is the training of the students of the Islamic Studies and equipping them with the skills of Takhrij Al-Hadith in terms of judging its authenticity and doubtfulness on paper and electronic files. The necessity for this work springs from the fact that the department of the Islamic Studies teaches two significant subjects related directly to this aspect. These two subjects are: Takhrij Al-Hadith and the Study of Asanid. And since, theoretical study is not enough, it was incumbent to find practical application. As such, it was an urgent necessity to launch this laboratory. As a matter of fact, Dr Salah Bin Frih clarified that Takhrij was generally intended to help the trainer identify the narrator of the Hadith in the Sunna books and its state in terms of authenticity and doubtfulness. By this way, the trainer is not only estimated to defend Prophet Mohamed’s Sunna- Peace be upon him- but also to attribute the Hadith to its original sources instead of secondary books. Then, His Excellency the Vice Rector thanked the College for adopting such projects. He thanked also the Islamic Studies Department for the initiative to help the student acquire research skills, and he wished transmitting this experience to other colleges that compromises Islamic Studies departments at the university. And near the end of the speech, the Dean of the College expressed his thanks to the Rector for his approval for the equipment of this laboratory and for his permanent support to the college. He, also, directed his thanks to His Excellency the Vice Rector for the Academic Affairs Dr, Mohamed Bin Othman Al-Rakban who had adopted this project from its very beginning and followed it until its execution.
