The Faculty of Education in Zulfi Receives Accreditation from The German International Accreditation Agency (ASIIN)

Under the patronage of the University Rector Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin, and with the follow-up of the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Al Rumaih, the University has made a new achievement in the field of academic accreditation. The College of Education in Zulfi has obtained the international academic accreditation for the Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics programs from the German International Accreditation Agency (ASIIN), which makes the College of Education in Zulfi the fifth college in the Kingdom to obtain such academic accreditation from ASIIN. The accreditation program at the Faculty of Education in Zulfi started at 06/ 1436 with the approval of the Higher Committee for Quality by adopting three programs at the Faculty of Education in Zulfi to join the external academic accreditation program. Since then, the committees operating in the external accreditation programs have been established. A total of 72 faculty members and staff participated in the accreditation program, 18 participants in the chemistry program, 14 participants in mathematics, 18 participants in the physics program and 6 faculty members for translation. As the College of Education in Zulfi obtained external accreditation, this has added the following areas of development to the College programs: 1. Obtaining the certificate of conformity with the international standard (OHSAS 18001) issued by the German Accreditation Agency DAKKS for the quality and safety of its laboratories through the initiative and support of the University Vice-rector. This has translated the efforts of the university administration, vice-rectors’ offices and supporting deanships in addition to other various departments. Such prestigious accreditation has left a significant impact on the College besides offering an international safety system for students, professors and laboratory workers. 2. External accreditation has helped to raise the reputation of the university and its programs represented by the College of Education in Zulfi in Saudi society. 3 - Consistency between the activities and programs of the College with the standards of academic accreditation of the Global Assessment Authority (ASIIN). 4. Ensure that faculty members at the Faculty of Education in Zulfi are academically updated through their contact with the experts of the world in the same specialization of ASIIN. 5 - Evaluation of the quality of the educational process by the world experts in the disciplines concerned. 6. The College programs provided a great deal of accurate and clear information to the employers. 7. Strengthening the confidence of the State and society in the programs, activities and services provided by the University of Majmaah. 8. Academic accreditation has helped to activate cooperation and interaction among faculty members. 9. Review of the development of some aspects that required improvement. 10 – Consolidating the relationship between the students of the relevant programs and members of the faculty. 11. Increasing motivation for students to learn effectively by enhancing their confidence through the adoption of their specialties at an international standard. All that is said explains the harmony between the college administration, the university administration and its departments. In conclusion, the College thanks the University leaders represented by the Rector, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Rukban, Advisor of the Rector as well as the partners of success.
