The Department of Chemistry at the College of Science in Zulfi held the fourth seminar for the academic year 1442-1443 AH, entitled Porphyrin complexes and their uses for the detection of anions.

The seminar was Dr. Sumaya Nassri, in the presence of the head of the department, Dr. Youssef Al-Ghamdi and the faculty members of the department.

The seminar addressed the complexes of porphyrin and its presence in nature, and how to make and use them to detect ions such as chloride and bromide as well as using them to decompose the green dye malachite.
