Intellectual Awareness Unit hosts a Lecture on ‘Tolerance: Awareness and Peace’

The Intellectual Awareness Unit at the College of Science, in collaboration with the Deanship's Office for Educational and Development Affairs and the Student Activities Unit, organized a lecture titled “Tolerance: Awareness and Peace”, presented by Mr. Suhaib Al-Duwaish.

Targeting college staff and students, the lecture highlighted tolerance as a fundamental human value that goes beyond theory to practical behavior and self-awareness. It emphasized that tolerance begins with freeing oneself from negative feelings and grudges toward others. Key barriers to tolerance discussed included intellectual rigidity, ignorance of others, fear of losing identity, and the need to cultivate knowledge and emotional freedom from anger.

The lecture underscored that tolerance is essential for achieving inner peace through psychological calm, and external and social peace through coexistence and building cohesive communities.

This initiative aligns with the College’s ongoing efforts to instill core human values and promote self-awareness and positive social interaction among its members.
