20250804812The Vice-Dean's Office of the College of Science for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, represented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit and in collaboration with the Department of Physics, organized a course titled: “Global Perspectives on Collaboration in Quantum Computing”.
The course was presented by Dr. Ilham Al-Dhafeeri, to students of the College and covered key topics including an introduction to quantum computing, quantum information science, guidelines for programming quantum circuits, and designing quantum algorithms. Participants also explored quantum mechanics, the branch of physics that studies the behavior of particles at microscopic and subatomic levels, which quantum computers leverage to perform computations in entirely new ways.
Dr. Ilham emphasized the importance of aligning with the Digital Transformation Vision by connecting theoretical physics and quantum mechanics with practical applications in programming and algorithm design, aiming to prepare a new generation of programmers and physicists capable of working with quantum computers and developing compatible quantum software.
