The Vice-Dean's Office for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, represented by the Graduate Studies and Research Unit, organized a workshop for postgraduate students on “Writing Research Papers and Theses Using Overleaf.”
The workshop was delivered by Dr. Mujtaba Mohammed, Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematics.
The workshop focused on enabling students to use LaTeX to prepare their theses and research papers in line with the academic standards. It also covered structuring chapters, inserting equations, tables, and figures, and managing references using BibTeX. It also introduced collaborative writing features and how to share projects with supervisors and researchers.
The workshop offered a hands-on exercises helping students to improve their scientific writing skills.
