The College of Science organizes a Workshop on “Using Overleaf in Scientific Research for Science Majors”

The College of Science, represented by the Volunteering and Community Service Unit and in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics, organized a workshop titled “Using Overleaf in Scientific Research for Science majors.”

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Jameelah Al-Otaibi and aimed to enable researchers to prepare professional research papers using the LaTeX system through a cloud-based platform.

The session introduced the platform interface, project creation, and the use of journal formats. It also covered formatting text, mathematical equations, tables, and figures, along with managing references using citation tools. In addition, the workshop highlighted collaborative features that allow researchers to share and work on projects together.

The workshop concluded with a practical session, where participants developed a complete research sample in line with approved academic standards.
