The College of Science organizes a Workshop on “Using Python in Science”

The College of Science, represented by the Volunteering and Community Service Unit and in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics, organized a workshop titled “Using Python in Science.”

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Sadiqa Othman and aimed to introduce participants to the basics of Python programming and its importance in analyzing scientific data and solving research problems.

The session demonstrated how to use key scientific libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib for data organization, computation, and visualizing results. It also included practical applications across fields such as biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.

The workshop helped students and researchers develop analytical skills to support their scientific projects and aimed to enhance their ability to use programming effectively in research and data analysis.
