The College of Science conducts a Workshop Titled: “Fundamentals of Chemical Laboratory Equipment and Analytical Techniques”

The Vice-Dean's Office, represented by the Volunteering and Community Service Unit in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, organized a workshop titled “Fundamentals of Chemical Laboratory Equipment and Analytical Techniques.” The workshop was delivered by Dr. Amani Shurodha and Dr. Somya Habib.

The session introduced key analytical laboratory instruments, including UV-Vis, FTIR, HPLC, EDX, and the rotary evaporator.

The workshop aimed to explain the operating principles of these instruments and their applications in chemical analysis, compound identification, pharmaceutical analysis, as well as the study of nanomaterials and environmental pollutants.

It also highlighted the importance of these technologies in scientific research and industrial applications. The workshop was attended by students and staff, reflecting growing interest in modern analytical techniques.
