The College of Science organizes a Workshop on Effective Communication Skills

The Vic-Dean's Office at the College of Science, represented by the Volunteering and Community Service Unit in collaboration with the Alumni Unit, organized a workshop titled “Effective Communication Skills in Academic and Professional Life,”. 

Delivered by Dr. Nora Al-Suwaidan from the Department of Biology, the workshop aimed to empower participants to build clear and impactful communication skills that support success in various environments. It highlighted communication as a core skill based on active listening, precise message formulation, and selecting appropriate styles according to context and audience.

It also focused on understanding body language, managing first impressions, and building professional relationships based on respect and trust. Participants were introduced to strategies for handling challenging situations such as conflicts and work-related pressure, as well as expressing ideas confidently while maintaining professionalism and courtesy.

The workshop included practical activities simulating real academic and professional scenarios.
