The Deanship of Student Affairs held a course titled "Cyber Security" which was presented by Dr. Ali Al-Hamdan at the Deanship of Quality and Skills Development.
The course addressed online security and protection of digital life, both at home and at work.
During the course, learners should be able to know how to recognize threats that can harm them online and take steps to reduce their chances of happening.
The course addressed the following topics:
• The basic terms of cyber security
• Basic authentication mechanisms
• Identifying types of malware
• Basic network concepts
• Describing encryption terminology
The Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Khaled Al-Ofaisan talked about the importance of cyber security and the tendency of the Kingdom to introduce such programs to universities or sports federations such as the Saudi Cyber Security and Programming Union.
